Currently there are 255 Ronald McDonald Houses in
28 countries: 155 in the United States, 58 in Europe,
21 in Asia/Pacific/Middle East, 12 in Canada, 9 in
Latin America.
The Ronald McDonald House program has helped more
than 10 million family members since 1974.
Since 1981 Australia’s 12 Ronald McDonald
Houses have provided more than 35,000 families with
more than 750,000 individual nights of accommodation.
Every night over 6,000 bedrooms are available for
families worldwide.
More than 30,000 volunteers donate over a million
hours of their time each year to Ronald McDonald Houses.
McDonald’s Australia Limited pays all administration
and management costs for Ronald McDonald House Charities
ensuring 100 cents of every dollar donated goes directly
to programs benefiting children.
RMHC worldwide awards grants in three areas:
- Healthcare and medical research
- Education and the arts
- Civic and social services
Grants to date total more than $410 million.
